Getting to Campus Erlangen Süd (Universität Südgelände / South Campus)

Starting at train station Erlangen Hbf you can continue by bus or by taxi:
  • Bus 20 or bus 287 (ca. 25 min): The busses in direction Technische Fakultät start at the bus stop Arcaden. From the train station Erlangen Hbf cross the Bahnhofsplatz to the right and follow Goethestraße (ca. 250 m), then turn left into Güterhallenstraße to reach the bus stop Arcaden. Instead of walking to Arcaden you can also take one of the busses 281, 284, 286, 289, 290 or 295, which connect Bahnhofsplatz with Arcaden (one stop, tickets are sold by driver). At the bus stop Arcaden please take the bus 20 in direction Nürnberg/Thon or bus 287 in direction Sebaldussiedlung. Leave the bus at the bus stop Technische Fakultät. You are now at the crossing Erwin-Rommel Straße/Egerlandstraße.
  • Bus 295 (ca. 20 min): At the bus stop Bahnhofsplatz take the bus 295 in direction Tennenlohe (tickets sold by driver). Leave the bus at the bus stop Erlangen/Süd and take the small bridge (Preußensteg) behind you to cross the street. Walk straight on. After ca. 50m you arrive at Egerlandstraße/Immerwahrstraße.
  • Bus 293 (ca. 20 min): At the bus stop Bahnhofsplatz take the bus 293 in direction Bruck Bahnhof (tickets sold by driver). Leave at the bus stop Technische Fakultät.
  • Taxi (ca. 15 min): Your destination is Cauerstraße 11 in Erlangen.

In Nuremberg take tram 4 to the final destination Am Wegfeld. Tickets are sold by ticket machine and have to be validated inside the tram.
  • Bus 20 (ca. 25 min): At Am Wegfeld take bus 20 in direction Erlangen Arcaden. Leave the bus at the bus stop Technische Fakultät. You are now at the crossing Erwin-Rommel Straße/Egerlandstraße.
  • Bus 30 (ca. 20 min): At Am Wegfeld take bus 30 in direction Erlangen Arcaden. Leave the bus at the bus stop Erlangen/Süd and take the small bridge (Preußensteg) behind you to cross the street. Walk straight on. After ca. 50m you arrive at Egerlandstraße/Immerwahrstraße.

  • From Autobahn A3 coming from Würzburg: Take the exit Tennenlohe and follow B4 in direction Erlangen. Take the exit Universität Südgelände. Turn left afterwards in direction Erlangen or Südgelände (Kurt-Schumacher-Straße). Go straight on until you can turn left into Cauerstraße. On the right you can see the bright coloured Felix-Klein-Building.
  • From Autobahn A3 coming from Regensburg: Pass Kreuz Nürnberg-Ost and stay on A3 in direction Würzburg. Take the exit Tennenlohe and afterwards turn right in direction B4 Erlangen. Next, take the exit Universität Südgelände. Turn left afterwards in direction Erlangen or Südgelände (Kurt-Schumacher-Straße). Go straight on until you can turn left into Cauerstraße. On the right you can see the bright coloured Felix-Klein-Building.
  • From Autobahn A9  coming from Munic or Berlin: At Kreuz Nürnberg-Ost drive in direction A3 Würzburg. Take the exit Tennenlohe and afterwards turn right in direction B4 Erlangen. Next, take the exit Universität Südgelände. Turn left afterwards in direction Erlangen or Südgelände (Kurt-Schumacher-Straße). Go straight on until you can turn left into Cauerstraße. On the right you can see the bright coloured Felix-Klein-Building.
  • From Autobahn A73 coming from Bamberg or Nürnberg: Take the exit Erlangen-Bruck and turn right at the traffic lights into Paul-Gossen-Straße. Go straight on (about 3.000m) until you leave Erlangen. Take the exit Südgelände and cross the bridge. Afterwards turn left into Kurt-Schumacher-Straße. After a few 100m turn left again into Cauerstraße. On the right you can see the bright coloured Felix-Klein-Building.

Starting at airport Nuremberg (NUE) you can continue by bus, hired car or by taxi:
  • Bus (ca. 25 min. – beware low intervals for bus 33): Leave the arrival zone and follow the signs in direction of the bus stops. Tickets are sold by bus drivers:
    • Bus 33 in direction Fürth Rathaus: At Am Wegfeld take bus 30 in direction Erlangen Arcaden. Leave the bus at the bus stop Erlangen/Süd and take the small bridge (Preußensteg) behind you to cross the street. Walk straight on. After ca. 50m you arrive at Egerlandstraße/Immerwahrstraße.
    • Bus 30 in direction Erlangen Arcaden: Leave the bus at the bus stop Erlangen/Süd and take the small bridge (Preußensteg) behind you to cross the street. Walk straight on. After ca. 50m you arrive at Egerlandstraße/Immerwahrstraße.
  • Hired car (ca. 20 min): Leave the airport and follow the signs in direction Erlangen until you take a right turn onto B4 in direction Erlangen. Take the exit Universität Südgelände. Turn left afterwards in direction Erlangen or Südgelände (Kurt-Schumacher-Straße). Go straight on until you can turn left into Cauerstraße. On the right you can see the bright coloured Felix-Klein-Building.
  • Taxi (ca. 20 min): Your destination is Cauerstraße 11 in Erlangen.
