MathPhysDays
“MathPhysDays” is a workshop taking place in Erlangen from July 14 to 16, 2022, on the occasion of Andreas Knauf’s last days “on duty” as part of the teaching body of the Department Mathematik at the FAU. The schedule below shows that there will be many interesting talks, but moreover there will be plenty of time for scientific and personal exchange.
All lectures will take place in room H12 of the Department, Cauerstrasse 11 in Erlangen.

July 16: Surprise social event until early afternoon. We meet at 10 a.m. in front of the youth hostel at the castle in Nürnberg (Jugendherberge, Burg 2). To get there
- take the train S1 or the train RE in the direction of Nürnberg (takes about 20 minutes, every 30 minutes)
- get off at Nürnberg central station (Nürnberg Hbf)
- walk from there to the castle (pleasant walk, about 20 minutes) – directions
